London-based composer and sound designer Roberto David Rusconi is a versatile sound colourist, who fluently weaves elements of classical harmony, avant-garde and ambient soundscapes into the fabric of his works. His practise is informed by shamanism, ritualistic practices, music embodiment and immersive surround. With a PhD awarded at Kings College London and prestigious fellowships, residencies and commissions he has been supported by Fondazione Haydn, Freiburg Experimental Studios, Arts Council England, The Bliss Trust, The British Council, Ernst Von Siemens, PRS among many others. Rusconi has been invited to represent UK twice at the International Music Days and Wien Modern, La Biennale di Venezia and Ultraschall Festival Berlin. His works are published by Verlag Neue Musik Berlin and have been performed by Orchestra Haydn, Spanish National Orchestra, Klangforum Wien, Phace, OENM Salzburg, Contrechamps, Minguet, JACK, Amar and Kairos quartets. A champion of immersive productions in 2019 he presented Dionysos Rising surround opera with L-Acoustics, he writes music for film, TV series and documentaries under many aliases.
