Zeynep Gedizlioğlu studied composition with Cengiz Tanc in Istanbul, Theo Brandmüller in Saarbrücken, Ivan Fedele in Strasbourg and Wolfgang Rihm in Karlsruhe as well as music theory with Michael Reudenbach. In 2012 she was awarded the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation's Grant for Composition. Her music has been performed at international festivals such as ECLAT in Stuttgart, Beethovenfest Bonn, Wien Modern, Witten Days for New Chamber Music and Ultraschall Berlin. She works with soloists of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, with SWR Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart and the Arditti Quartet, who have premiered many of her works. She gave master classes in composition at the Karlsruhe University of Music and at Bilkent University in Ankara. In 2022 she was awarded the German Music Authors' Prize in the category of composition for chamber music.
